The Supreme Court on Wednesday upheld the verdict of the Specialized Criminal Court in November last year in the case of the assassination of former Mayor of Hurban, László Basternák.
The trio of Alena Zsuzsová, Roman Ostružlík and Vladimír Mosnár will serve 21 years. This is the first valid conviction for Zsuzsová, who is also accused in the case of the murder of Ján Kuciak and Martina Kušnírová.
The Supreme Court also rejected the dismissal of the prosecutor, who demanded 25 years in prison for the trio. The decision of the Supreme Court is valid and cannot be appealed against.
