Zoom is expanding with another artificial intelligence chatbot

In connection with the chatbot war that broke out with the autumn release of ChatGPT, the rivalry between Microsoft and Google mostly dominates the news, but in addition to Bing Chat and Bard, organized by the tech giants, other, smaller players are also pushing into the field.

As we previously reported, one is San Francisco-based Anthropic, founded by former OpenAI employees behind ChatGPT. The startup enjoying Google’s $400 million investment has now secured another major partner in the form of Zoom.

The operator of the popular video conference platform is a announced on his official blog, that they also invested in the company developing artificial intelligence systems and language models through the Zoom Ventures program. Created by Anthropic in the spirit of unity Claude chatbot also becomes part of Zoom, starting with the Contact Center providing automated customer service.

The announcement does not reveal when we can expect the chatbot feature to debut, but the company promises that the integration of Claude will take customer relations to a new level. This is already Zoom’s second such partnership: the operator previously signed a contract with OpenAI, as a result of which certain capabilities of the ChatGPT text generator became available on the video conferencing platform, within the jointly created Zoom IQ assistant.
