Zayed Khan also lost his membership after the post of general secretary

Actor Zayed Khan has already lost the post of General Secretary of the Film Artistes Association due to violation of election code of conduct despite winning the votes of his colleagues. This time, his general membership was also canceled due to objectionable comments in the media about the current president and general secretary of the association.

This difficult decision regarding Zayed Khan was taken from the executive council meeting of Shilpi Samiti on Sunday afternoon. That is, from today he is no longer a registered artist of Shilpi Samiti. He shall not participate in any activity or function of the association.

Actor Simon Sadiq, deputy general secretary of Shilpi Samiti, confirmed the cancellation of Zayed Khan’s membership while talking to reporters after the executive council meeting.

This actor said, ‘Zayed Khan’s membership has been cancelled. All the executive council members present at today’s meeting unanimously agreed to suspend his membership. However, we have an advisory board and a legal advisor, I will talk to them and give a decision in the next meeting.’

Simon also said, ‘Zayed Khanan has said offensive words about the president and general secretary of the association in various media. Which no member has done before. Zayed Khan was asked to reply to the letter within 7-10 days. But he didn’t do that.’

The actor also said that Zayed Khan’s return letter sent on Saturday was taken up in the executive council meeting today. But due to the late reply, none of the members present wanted to hear the narration of that letter.

A letter was sent to Zayed Khan on February 22 for making false comments about the president of Shilpi Samiti Ilyas Kanchan and Nipun Akhtar, who is in charge of the general secretary in the judgment of the high court. A response is sought within 7-10 days. Otherwise his membership will be canceled from the association.

However, as per Zayed Khan’s claim, he could not reply to the letter within the stipulated time as he was out of the country. He replied on Saturday (April 1). In that letter, Zayed Khan wrote a warning to Nipun, if any unfair decision is taken against him, he will take legal action against everyone including Nipun.

But Zayed Khan’s warning did not work. His membership was canceled in the meeting of the executive council of Shilpi Samiti on Sunday afternoon.

Meanwhile, not only Zayed Khan, the elected vice-president of Shilpi Samiti Chitranayak Rubel and executive member actress Sucharita have also been dismissed from their posts by sending two separate letters.

In the letter signed by the association’s president Ilyas Kanchan and general secretary Nipun Akhtar, allegations were made against Rubel and Suchrita, that they were absent in three consecutive meetings of the executive council of the artists’ association and did not attend any of the association’s developmental activities.
