Popular tech YouTuber Linus Sebastian is facing an attack on his YouTube accounts. Hundreds of videos have disappeared from the main and several minor channels, instead the attackers are broadcasting a fake livestream with the aim of extorting cryptocurrency from viewers.
If you have a large number of subscriptions on YouTube, you may have already encountered a similar hacking attack. The attackers get into an account with more subscribers, delete all the videos uploaded so far (at best, just hide them) and start broadcasting a fake livestream with Elon Musk.
The channels of technical YouTuber Linus also suffered a similar fate on Thursday morning CET. In addition to his main channel with 15 million subscribers, TechLinked and TechQuickie accounts with another million subscribers were also targeted.
