Film tips week 36 (2021): Expedition Robinson and Billie Eilish

With a Chromecast in your television or a Chromecast Audio in your speaker, you can watch and listen to media from your smartphone in better quality. That’s handy, but then you have to know what you can watch and listen to. That’s why we offer the Android Planetviewing tips. Here we give some current listening and series tips, both for free and paid services.

1. Happier Than Ever: A Love Letter to Los Angeles (Disney Plus)

Since going to a real concert is still tricky, Billie Eilish and Disney Plus offer an alternative. In Happier Than Ever: A Love Letter to Los Angeles, Eilish sings all the songs from her latest album, in collaboration with the Los Angeles Children’s Chorus and the Los Angeles Philharmonic. With cool lighting, animation and more.

2. Expedition Robinson 2021 (Videoland)

The latest season of Expedition Robinson has started. You can watch a new episode twice a week. Again celebrities on a desert island have to survive and compete against each other in tough assignments.

This season includes Sieneke, John de Bever and Dyantha Brooks, as well as former candidates such as JayJay Boske and Rob Geus. They are secretly on their own island.

3. Only Murders in the Building (Disney Plus)

Can’t get enough of True Crime podcasts? Three lonely residents of an apartment complex find each other around such a show, similar to Serial. It seems to be the only tension in their lives, until a murder is committed in the building.

Curiosity takes over and the trio investigate. They also start their own podcast: Only Murders in the Building. A bit exciting, but above all very funny.

4. Sparking Joy With Marie Kondo (Netflix)

Marie Kondo is back on your television! The cleanup guru had a hit on Netflix in early 2019. She taught people to tidy up their things, by getting rid of what no longer brings joy and giving the rest a tidy place.

In this new show Marie takes it bigger and also tackles a garden, shop and church. Sadly, there are only three episodes, but chances are you’ll already be cleaning up your own house before it’s over.

5. Kevin Can F**k Himself (Amazon Prime Video)

This show starts out as a standard American sitcom, with an exhausting and somewhat sexist man, his beautiful wife and a laugh track after every few sentences. But once the woman is alone, the show suddenly turns into a drama series in which she tries to deal with her fears and anger. A unique way of storytelling, where every moment when the laughter suddenly gives way to absolute silence feels bizarre.
