Yamaha Indonesia Presents MX King 150 Livery 60 Years at the MotoGP Event

DAPURPACU – Yamaha Indonesia presents a special edition MX 150 King variant with Yamaha World Grand Prix 60th Anniversary livery, which is already available at authorized dealers in Indonesia.

This variant is here to commemorate Yamaha’s 60th anniversary in the Grand Prix (MotoGP) motorcycle racing event. This motorbike is marketed with a tag of Rp. 24,975,000 on the road in Jakarta.

“We also bring the atmosphere of Yamaha’s 60th anniversary of appearing in MotoGP by launching a special MX King 150 livery,” said Antonius Widiantoro, Manager of Public Relations, YRA and Community of PT Yamaha Indonesia Motor Manufacturing.

“We perpetuate this achievement by launching this model as a memorable product for the people of Indonesia,” he said in an official broadcast, Wednesday (22/9).

Yamaha MX 150 King World Grand Prix 60th Anniversary Livery has the concept of ‘Racing Blood of Yamaha’, which spreads racing passion to consumers.

The livery is inspired by the red and white design on the YZR500 (0W48), which was used by champion Kenny Roberts at the 1980 Grand Prix in the 500 cc class.

Starting from Yamaha’s first victory at the 1963 world Grand Prix, until the 2020 season, a total of 511 victories have been collected.

Previously, Yamaha had paid tribute to that history in March 2021, with the display of the YZR-M1 Yamaha World Grand Prix 60th Anniversary Livery during the second MotoGP pre-season test in Qatar.

The livery on the MX King 150 is visible on the motor body, which is the characteristic red speedblock on the horizontal line with black stripes. Then there is the application of a yellow pattern with black stripes on the front.

Adding a masculine impression, the rim gets a gold color to emphasize the uniqueness of this livery. As for the features, there are no changes, starting from the LED headlights which consist of 2 low beams and 1 high beam.

This sport moped motorbike has also been equipped with a hazard lamp feature that functions as a sign when the driver experiences an emergency.

The combination of wide tubeless tires, front 90/80-17 and rear 120/70-17 not only creates a more stable driving feeling but also makes the motorcycle look dashing.

Optimal braking is indicated by disc discs on both wheels. Driving information can be seen on the meter panel with a futuristic digital design.

From the performance sector, the MX 150 King is powered by a 150 cc 4 valve fuel injection engine with 5 speeds, producing 15 hp and 13.8 Nm of peak torque at 7,000 rpm.

In addition, the engine that adopts racing technology has been equipped with liquid cooled (liquid-cooled) which is able to maintain a stable engine temperature.

Not to forget, it is also equipped with Forged Piston & DiASil Cylinder which makes the motorcycle engine three times more durable, strong and lightweight.

For information, Yamaha has paid homage to that history last March, with the display of the YZR-M1 Yamaha World Grand Prix 60th Anniversary Livery during the second MotoGP pre-season test in Qatar. [dp/MTH]
