WWF (World Organization for Nature Protection) invites young people across Serbia to apply for the competition Youth against climate change ” within which they will be able to work through their own youth initiatives to combat the consequences and find solutions to climate change.

The competition is open within the project The climate remains on the young, where young people will be able to learn more about the development of civic initiatives, communication activities, public advocacy, community engagement and policy development through the prism of climate change in Serbia.

After the training, they will be able to apply what they have learned by implementing their own initiatives to raise awareness, mitigate the consequences and adapt to climate change, with the support and mentorship of experts from WWF. The results of their initiatives, young people will be able to present to the general public in the fall, at the first Youth Climate Forum organized by WWF at the national and regional level.

“Today’s youth will be faced with the consequences of unsustainable development, so their present and future are at stake. In turn, young people are becoming louder and more active, seeking urgent and decisive change and holding decision-makers accountable, especially for tackling the climate crisis. At WWF, we see young people as a key driving force, not only because they are the ones on whom the climate remains, but because they possess the skills and attitudes necessary to bring about the necessary, significant change. This project will involve young people of different interests and skills, but with one common goal, to point out climate change and become catalysts for positive action at various levels, from their communities to national and regional platforms. We are looking forward to involving young people and helping them continue to propose the most creative and innovative solutions to the challenges of sustainability “, points out Mina Mirić, coordinator of the project” The climate remains on the young “from WWF Adria.
