They are not alone in their troubles: The Jebo family

The four-member family of 15-year fiers from East Sarajevo, a patient from Williams syndrome, spends a lot of strategies what the next day is waiting for them, because the disease and Negina took their toll.

Three of the four members of the Jebo family are seriously ill and unable to change their destiny, which is why they have placed all their hopes in good people, so they hope to find them this time as well.

As Mladenko, Ognjen’s father, told us in a telephone conversation, their debt for electricity reached as much as 1,500 KM (about 750 euros).

And this unfortunate family was happy because these days await the final attitude of school authorities whether their sick son can go to high school.

– Our fiery was studied in Mladic and how things are going to get the green light that he can attend high school and learn for the chef. We are proud and happy, because despite your illness, it will have the opportunity to be heard and gained their bread in the hands – proudly tells Ogra’s father.

It is true that we have already written about the troubles of this family on several occasions, unfortunately the response of donors to help them was a little weaker, which made their situation even more difficult.

– We are still welcome to us, because neither wife nor is I able to work, and take two children to healthy and situ. From the moment my spine was injured, just like my knees due to many years of hard work from pain, I have nowhere to go. I don’t sleep at night, and doctors say I’m not for surgery or rehabilitation, just painkillers. It’s a small consolation. Especially having in mind that I still have a loan for the house I built with the help of good people, that the bills will not stop coming, as well as those for medicines, and I cannot work and earn. I am worried about what will happen to us, because we do not see a way out of this nightmare – Mladenko Džebo will be honest.

His wife Slobodanka, a hairdresser by profession, cannot work for several reasons. The first is the conspiracy of the sons, the other fact that he also suffers from the epilepsy and that he often has cardiological problems, and the third that she recently fell and broke his hand. So she herself goes from doctor to doctor, hoping she will be a little better.

As a reminder, the knowledge that their younger son Ognjen suffers from a rare genetic disease that causes slow growth and mental development, movement difficulties and serious health problems brought the Jebo family a lot of suffering, sleepless nights and countless days spent in different clinical centers, bringing them to the very edge of existence.

Nevertheless, the mother of Slobodank and Father brides were determined to train their child for a living best and the most in their power, as well as medicine. Thanks to parental perseverance, Ognjen walked over three years and three months in despite numerous difficulties, later headed to kindergarten, and then to school.

Mladenko once again explains how the disease affects his younger son.

– Williams’ syndrome children and people suffer from this disease, despite all the shortcomings and difficulties in learning, makes extremely social, empathetic and related to other people, which is also the case with our fire. He likes to be surrounded by people and to play with his brother. He achieved so far and more than any of the doctors could think, he went to school, indecisely, learned to write and read. He is mastering various life lessons every day, and now he needs to study to be a cook – Ognjen’s father ends his story.

– Happiness in the accident is that Ognjen is well, is progressing day by day, but it is the fact that his care requires additional funds that are at this time to go to us, when we do not even have the most basic. Honestly, I really don’t know what we would have done if our good compatriots hadn’t helped us before. Once again, thank you very much, we wish them good health and every happiness – said Father Mladenko Džebo.
