Lee added that North Korean authorities were concerned about the AstraZeneca vaccine after reports of blood clots.

The INSS also reported that North Korea allowed its diplomats who were abroad to receive Covid-19 injections starting in late March.

Covax said it would deliver nearly two million doses of AstraZeneca’s Covid-19 vaccine to North Korea. The first batch was expected to be delivered at the end of May but was postponed due to protracted consultations.
