World Environment Day involves young people in caring for nature

This Saturday is World Environment Day. To commemorate it, the Department of the Environment of the City of Martorell invites young people to participate next Monday, June 7, at 17.00, in the virtual event ‘Youth and Nature‘, organized by the Department of Climate Action, Food and Rural Agenda of the Generalitat de Catalunya, where young people will be the real protagonist.

The event will be led by meteorologist Mònica Usart and will be attended by representatives of young Catalans who took part in the World Youth Summit of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN).

Also, under the title ‘And you, what do you do for nature?’ they will have a round table where young Catalans will take part who, in one way or another, are committed to its conservation and who are: Yas Recht, pastor of Circus, Verónica Couto of CREAF, Alex Cerón, founder of Newex and Joan Grivé, environmentalist and influencer.

‘Youth and Nature’ will also have the welcome of Teresa Jordà, Minister of Climate Action, Food and Rural Agenda, and the closing will be given by Anna Barnadas, Secretary of Environment and Sustainability.
