WMC 250EV ready for a new world record

White Motorcycle Concepts is working on an electric motorcycle that should set a new speed record, at least when it comes to electric mains.

The WMC 250EV will, at least in theory, be able to reach and exceed a speed of 408 km / h. But it will have additional significance for the company, as it will serve as a basis for road motorcycles and scooters.

The company is planning mass production. However, for now, the goal is to see the technology in action. That is why Voxan Wattman and his result of 408.77 km / h should be removed from the throne.

The WMC states that a motorcycle has three trump cards to achieve this: an aerodynamic design that directs air through the motorcycle, not around and over it. According to the company, the mentioned design increases the aerodynamics of performance by 70% (compared to the leading motorcycles in this segment).

This design allows the use of regenerative braking on the front axle.

The motorcycle has a carbon fiber construction, aluminum axle and even four Hacker electric motors (two front, two rear). They produce a total of 100 kW, ie. approximately 135 hp. The Multimatic DSSV suspension is used on high-performance road cars, and the heart of the maine is a 15 kWh battery.

It’s not just a matter of a record. This technology not only allows us to go faster, it works without creating additional energy. This will have a direct impact on reducing CO2 emissions. That way we have the opportunity to bring a revolution to the industry, said Rob White, the company’s director.

We expect the first attempt to break the record soon.
