The curfew will have several exceptions after 27 January, which can be applied without a negative test for COVID-19. For example, a way will be allowed to procure the necessary necessities of life, ie the purchase of food or medical devices. People over the age of 65 and children under the age of 15 will not need a test even when staying in nature in the district. This follows a resolution approved by the government on Sunday.

The government included the purchase of food, medicine, medical devices and aids, hygienic and drugstore goods, as well as feed and other necessities for animals or for the care of children, among the procurement of essential necessities of life. However, the purchase should take place at the nearest retail outlet or establishment from the place of residence.

It will be possible to go to the medical facility for the purpose of urgent medical care, preventive examination or planned medical care. The exception also allows you to accompany a close person or relative to a medical facility. A trip to pharmacy care is also allowed. It is also possible to take care of a close person or a relative who is dependent on him. Another exception includes the provision and transfer to social services and social assistance facilities.

Persons over the age of 65 or severely disabled people in wheelchairs can go without a medical test to a distance of 1000 meters from the place of residence, either alone or with members of the common household. Within the district, people over the age of 65 and also children under the age of 15 can go to nature without a test.

With a dog or cat it will be possible to go for a walk to a distance of 1000 meters from the residence without a test. Travel for the purpose of caring for livestock or providing veterinary care will also be permitted.

Children will not need the test on the way to kindergarten and primary school either. The child and his / her accompanying person will also be exempted from traveling with the parent or a person who has the right to have contact with the child. Likewise, the parent or other entitled person may introduce the child to the parent in the context of alternating care or for a meeting by agreement of the parents.

Exceptions include the route to the RT-PCR test or to the mobile collection site for the antigen test for COVID-19 and back, as well as the vaccination route for COVID-19.

Without a test, it is also possible to appear before a body active in criminal proceedings in connection with an act in criminal proceedings, but also at a hearing, a main hearing or a public hearing.

The government extended the curfew until February 7. The rules are to be the same for now, as they are now, changing from January 27, when a negative PCR or antigen test will be needed, for example, on the way to work. After a nationwide screening, Slovakia should be divided according to the results into 37 worse and 36 better districts – in the worse, the screening will be repeated and in the period between 3 and 7 February it will be necessary to prove itself again with a negative test.

The test will not be needed by a person who has had COVID-19 and has a proof of not more than three months, or by a person who has been vaccinated against COVID-19 with a second dose of the vaccine, at least 14 days after vaccination.
