Windows 11 will offer to switch back to an older system, but only for a limited time

Each major update to Windows 10 has been associated with problems that users may or may not have encountered. Problems were to be expected especially when we did not expect anything and installed the new version ourselves without being offered by Windows Update. In any case, many appreciated the opportunity to return to the original version of the system, if he did not have to deal with data loss.

Of course, Windows 11 will also offer the possibility to quickly return to Windows 10 or perhaps another previous system, but according to PDF document, which Microsoft sent to PC manufacturers, this option will be limited in time to just 10 days. During them, we should try the new system properly and decide whether it suits us.

We can download early builds of Windows 11 today and try them out, but they are still not completed and do not contain all the components of the planned final version. If we want to try this system without obligation, it will be best to wait for the final version and first install it, for example in the sandbox, to find out at least whether the new GUI suits us.

Ten days after the upgrade to Windows 10, the data of the original system will probably be deleted, so it will not be possible to return to it unless we have backed it up somewhere. So then it will be necessary to completely reinstall the eleven.

It will be possible to return to the old installation as usual in the menu Settings – Update and security – Restore. However, if you are not interested in Windows 11, Microsoft will hopefully not force much into them, even though we still remember his indiscriminate campaign aimed especially at Windows 7 users at a time when there were dozens. However, they will be supported until October 2025, although from this year, Microsoft will, of course, focus on eleven in terms of system development and its functions.
