When USR and Nicușor Dan stab each other, and the people of Bucharest suffer

USR Bucharest asks the mayor general of the capital, Nicusor Dan, to present a plan for district heating, for overcoming the current crisis generated by rising energy prices and for investments, a plan that the mayor did not present, according to the party. I also ask the mayor general to present publicly what amount he obtained from the PNL Government for the heating of the people of Bucharest.

“USR Bucharest does not support the explosion of the gigacalorie price on the eve of winter

The mayor general did not present a plan for managing the hot water and heat crisis in Bucharest.

Bucharest’s state heating system is completely bankrupt. It provides hot water and heat, and this for a lot of money, covered by subsidies that consume a quarter of Bucharest’s budget. The pipes are so drilled that over 2,000 tons of hot water are pumped every hour into the soil of Bucharest. Thousands of Bucharest residents do not have the option to disconnect and are forced to bear all the consequences of the district heating disaster in Bucharest.

Nicușor Dan, when asking for USR Bucharest’s vote to increase the price of hot water and heat, must present to the people of Bucharest a plan for district heating in Bucharest: to overcome the current crisis generated by rising energy prices and investments.

In the absence of a strategy and any support from the Government, the people of Bucharest would be obliged to bear both the decades of incompetence of the Bucharest administration and the inability of the PMB to access government funds in this matter. It is inadmissible that the Bucharest City Hall does not obtain any support from the government, as other mayors in the country have already received.

We therefore ask the mayor general:

1. To present publicly what amount he obtained from the PNL Government for the heating of the people of Bucharest for this winter;

2. To publicly assume a strategy to get out of this crisis, from which it should be clear at what prices the people of Bucharest can expect for hot water and heat;

3. To publicly assume a concrete investment plan, staged with deadlines, in which to include neighborhood power plants in the most affected areas at the end of the column, power plants to be operated in partnership and with funds from the sector town halls;

4. To present measures through which vulnerable persons will be protected from this term crisis, in addition to what the law offers to the vulnerable consumer, ”the USR members transmit.
