What hours will the distance learning take place

All schools of all levels in Attica will be closed from Thursday, due to the hard lockdown that will be in force until February 28. Regarding education, e-education is provided for both primary and secondary education (kindergartens, primary, all-day schools, high schools and lyceums of general and vocational education), as well as all other educational structures. The lifelong educational operation of the special education and training units of all levels is extremely allowed.

As the Deputy Minister of Civil Protection Nikos Hardalias said, the distance education will be conducted in the morning hours for high schools and lyceums and noon hours for kindergartens and primary schools, just as it happened during the universal lockdown in November. At the same time, tomorrow Thursday and from 10-12 in the morning, the broadcasting of educational television episodes by ERT2 starts again, for primary school students.

It is also noted that the Nurseries, nurseries and kindergartens will be suspended, while the HEIs continue to operate through distance learning.

The Secretary General of Public Human Resources of the Ministry of Interior, Vivi Charalambogianni, referred to the facilities provided for parents with children up to the third grade of high school, including distance work, reduced working hours up to 25% per day and the granting of special purpose leave.

For her part, the Secretary General of Labor of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, Anna Stratinaki, stressed that special purpose permits are being reactivated for working parents in the private sector with children up to 14 years old.
