We only need three brushes for makeup

Just as we tend to compulsively buy all the care and make-up products we like and find within reach, so we also take make-up brushes. In addition, we also keep those that we get with the purchased product, shadows or blushes, which are mostly unusable or wear out quickly.

Experts – make-up artists say that a woman who regularly applies make-up only needs three brushes, but carefully selected ones. It is quite normal that make-up artists, whose job it is to do make-up on an unknown number of clients a day, have a whole palette of brushes, but for us, who apply make-up regularly but again once or at most twice a day, almost all of their machinery means little.

Because, however, we rarely use the ones we have. Like the pile of makeup we have, it usually just sits around gathering dust. And after a while it’s not even healthy to use it anymore.

Therefore, we strongly recommend that you throw away everything you haven’t used in a year and keep only the freshest and most needed. Both makeup and brushes. Keep only the three most necessary, which will serve you to apply foundation, blush, shade and eyeliner.

1) A small, firm, slanted brush. They are used for everything that requires precision, applying shadow in the form of eyeliner, liquid or gel eyeliner, brushing or shaping eyebrows and shaping lips with lipstick, instead of using a classic lip pencil.

2) A straight, flat, stiff brush, like an oar. This is a basic brush for applying foundation, shadow, highlighter and concealer, whether cream or powder.

3) Soft dome brush. The fluffy brush should be of medium size so that you can use it nicely both for the eyes and the whole face. Use it to apply powder, bronzer, blend the face or apply shadow over the entire eyelid.
