- Google is preparing to premiere its new flagships
- Pixel 8 will arrive, according to established traditions, in the fall of this year
- A video has surfaced online that reveals the design and one of the new features

This is what the Pixel 8 Pro will look like
The big conference Google I/O 2023 is successfully behind us, and Google presented the expected puzzle at it Pixel Fold. But if you were expecting the search giant to come out with some kind of teaser for the upcoming Pixel 8, then you had to be disappointed, because nothing like that happened. But the newly leaked video will definitely make up for this disappointment.
Pixel 8 Pro at its best
This video was leaked by a whistleblower Kuba Wojciechowski and published it through server 91mobiles. It’s not entirely clear where it’s coming from, but it’s likely one of the planned promo videos teasing the various features of the new Pixel 8. But before we focus on one feature, let’s take a quick look at the look.
The video also reveals it, and at first glance it is quite clear that Google will stick to its well-established design style. The phone in the video has an elongated photo module with a trio of sensors, so it’s a Pro spec and these sensors are, unlike Pixel 7 Pro, inserted into one continuous segment. But the most interesting thing is located on the right side of the photo module.

Take your temperature with the Pixel 8 Pro
Next to the camera is a pair of circular objects that look like two LED flashes. The top one is indeed an LED flash, but the pure white dot located below it is, somewhat surprisingly, an integrated thermometer. The leaked video is obviously instructive and shows exactly that the Pixel 8 Pro will be able to measure body temperature.
To measure the temperature, it will be necessary to bring the sensor closer to the user’s forehead (as close as possible without touching the forehead) and activate the function. The phone will then vibrate, and once it does, the user will have to slowly move it, again as close to the skin as possible, over the forehead, to the sleeping area. As soon as the phone vibrates a second time, the temperature will appear on the display, and the entire act of measurement should take 4 seconds.
A feature that not everyone has
The built-in thermometer is a feature that appears in phones from time to time (most recently in Honor Play 4 Pro), but it’s definitely not common. We will see if only the top Pro specification will offer it, or the basic Pixel 8 as well, and we will know the answer to this question in October at the latest, when the new reference phones Google officially arrives.
