In the fourth quarter of 2021 you can count on a large number of interesting Android smartphones from various brands, including Samsung and Google. In this article we list six expected models.
Read on after the ad.
We are looking forward to these smartphones
A lot of smartphones have already been announced this year. From dirt-cheap models such as the Motorola Moto E20 and midrange OnePlus Nord 2 to the premium Sony Xperia 1 III and foldable Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3. In this overview you will find – in random order – six devices that will arrive soon. Some smartphones have already been announced, others will probably see the light of day in the fourth quarter of 2021.
1. Samsung Galaxy S21 FE
The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE (Fan Edition) will be a cheaper version of the regular Galaxy S21. The device appears as a successor to the well-reviewed S20 FE and can be presented at any moment.
We expect a launch in October, possibly with a release on October 29.
Download the wallpapers of the S21 FE here and also read the alleged specifications of the smartphone.
2. Sony Xperia 5 III
The Sony Xperia 5 III was already announced in the spring, but is still not really in the shops. That will soon – finally – change. The Xperia 5 III has a price of 999 euros and is the smaller and cheaper brother of the Xperia 1 III.
The Xperia 5 III has a 6.1-inch screen, the fastest processor today and will receive two years of updates.

3. Fairphone 4
Soon we expect a smartphone from Dutch soil, namely the Fairphone 4. This phone follows the Fairphone 3 Plus from last year and according to the latest rumors will receive better specifications, a new design and a higher recommended price.
Fairphone is an Amsterdam-based smartphone maker that focuses on developing phones that are manufactured as sustainably as possible, are easy to repair and receive five years of software updates.

4. OnePlus 9T Series
There is a good chance that OnePlus will release one or more smartphones in the OnePlus 9T series in the fourth quarter of 2021. It is not yet clear which device is involved.
The OnePlus 9 series consists of the 9 and better 9 Pro, accompanied by a cheaper 9R that is not for sale in the Netherlands.
Looking at the rumor mill, we see that there would be no 9T Pro and the claim that OnePlus has canceled the 9T, followed by a well-known telecom snob who states that there will be a 9RT. The question is whether this smartphone will also appear in the Netherlands.
5. Nokia X60
Looks like Nokia before November 11 announces a high-end smartphone, a model so far known as the Nokia X60. A Nokia X60 rumor recently surfaced that claims the smartphone will get a curved screen, a large battery and three years of software updates.
Concrete information about the Nokia X60 in the form of images or prices is still missing. Presumably there will be more clarity about this in the coming weeks, provided the device actually exists of course.
Don’t want to wait for the alleged Nokia X60? Then take a look at the Nokia XR20, a mid-range model with a very sturdy housing and a sharper price of 499 euros.
6. Google Pixel 6 and 6 Pro
Google seems to be announcing the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro in October. A preview was given a while ago, intended to create more attention for the smartphones.
The Pixel 6 models will be high-end smartphones with hefty prices and they will probably not be released in the Netherlands.
With the Pixel 6 series, Google mainly focuses on a renewed design, better cameras and puts its own Tensor processor in the smartphones.
