The green solution for human mobility but also for fun comes with the Lamborghini sign. It is not a super-sports car with hundreds of “horses”, but an electric scooter
The offer of electric scooters in our country has become very serious. Although they all have the same function – fast and cheap transportation through the city crowds, their characteristics are quite different. It is not just about engine power, but also about many other parameters.
For starters, the Lamborghini AL1 stands out with its magnesium frame, with a light weight of just 13 pounds. It looks very attractive, not only because of the “lambo” sign, but also because of the tread from one part. It is available in black, blue and white. The wheels are eight inches in diameter, with full tires.
This means you don’t have to worry about the tire puncturing or being inflated. On the other hand, this solution is a little more uncomfortable over coarse-grained asphalt, but it is therefore much more durable than air-conditioned tires.
We were most impressed by the quality of construction and finishing. Unlike some scooters that have a problem with the steering wheel clearance, especially in the part where the folding joint is, there are no such problems with “Lamborghini”.
The scooter is maximally weighted and firm when crossing larger bumps. It is also commendable that the complete electrical installation goes through the steering wheel itself, so there are no cables and cables that protrude from the side and to which you could hang.
“Lambo” has a front brake that works on the principle of recuperation; this means that it charges the battery when braking and decelerating. The brake command is on the left handlebar, symmetrical with the throttle command on the right.
There is no disc brake in the back, but it is classic, mechanical. It is advisable to brake with both at the same time while driving, which means that one foot must always be on standby in case of sudden braking.
For those who have never ridden an electric scooter, they will be a little insecure at first, but after a little practice they will quickly get used to it and realize that slowing down and stopping is very safe. This is very important, since the “lambo” easily reaches maximum speed.
The steering wheel has a simple display and one button. Over it, the scooter lights up with a long click. A double click turns on the lights and ambient lighting. A standard click changes one of the three modes. The first allows a maximum speed of 5 km / h, the second is the standard “S” mode with a maximum speed of 15 km / h, and the third is the red “S” mode with which the “Lamborghini” scooter can develop 25 km / h.
This is an electronically limited speed prescribed by law. How powerful the 350-watt motor is is also shown by the fact that it accelerates very seriously up to some 23 km / h, and then abruptly slows down so as not to exceed the limit.
There are also more powerful scooters, but it turned out that 350 watts is more than enough for riding on a flat and easy uphill. With an adult of 82 kilograms, he easily overcomes mild climbs at a speed of some 22-23 km / h. The maximum manageable climb is 12 percent.
The throttle control is somewhat more sensitive and has built-in cruise control. It is activated after a constant hold for five to six seconds. It is canceled by pressing the accelerator again or by pressing the brake button. It is interesting that the electronic brake control is very precise and enables very fine dosing of the braking force.
It can act surprisingly powerful, even at low speeds, although it is a matter of recuperation, ie braking with an electric motor. Only at speeds less than three kilometers per hour does its effect weaken, so it is necessary to activate the last one as well. As we have already mentioned, it is recommended to brake with both at the same time, as well as on all other two-wheelers.
Autonomy is from 25 to 30 kilometers, depending on the type of surface, speed, temperature, but also the height and weight of the driver. The battery capacity is 280 Wh, or 7.8 Ah. It works under a voltage of 36 volts and takes three to five hours to charge.
In other words, you can easily go to work with an electric “Lamborghini” on two wheels. The charger is small and fits easily in a backpack. There is also a hook on the steering wheel that you can use as a temporary solution for bags, since any load hanging on it disrupts stability. That is why a backpack is a good recommendation if you are wearing something, and a helmet is a must!
Settings via the application
The application is used for additional settings and monitoring of driving statistics. Installation on a mobile phone is simple, as is connecting to a scooter via a bluetooth connection. Here you can see how much it has passed in total, as well as set some of the important parameters. For example, you can turn cruise control on or off.
Also, you can disable the giving of gas from the standby state, only when you run into it a little by pushing. This avoids the engine overturning and misuse that could lead to tire failure and burning.
You can also lock the engine start in order to prevent theft, but also to adjust the color of the lighting.
It is recommended that electric “Lamborghini” on two wheels should not be driven by persons under 16 years of age. The recommended height of the driver is from 130 to 200 cm, and the maximum weight is 100 kilograms. Finally, an important reminder relates to the helmet; cycling ones are quite sufficient.
