Suara.com – AS Roma coach, Jose Mourinho, responded to his team’s failure to win the 2022-2023 Europa League after losing on penalties to Sevilla in the final, Thursday (1/6/2023) early morning WIB.

The duel between Sevilla vs AS Roma in the match at the Puskas Arena, Budapest, Hungary was fierce. The 1-1 score lasted for 120 minutes before the representatives of Spain won 4-1 in the penalty shootout.

For Jose Mourinho, this defeat is very sad. However, he stressed that every player responds to this with different expressions.

Before losing on penalties, AS Roma actually excelled first in this match. Jose Mourinho’s troops scored in the 35th minute through Paulo Dybala after taking advantage of Gianluca Mancini’s pass.

However, AS Roma’s advantage did not last long. In the second half, to be precise, in the 55th minute, Mancini, who created Wolves’ first goal, scored an own goal.

Intending to block Sevilla wing-back’s cross, Jesus Navas from the right, Mancini actually put the round leather into his own net.

The 1-1 draw lasted until normal time ended and the fierce match continued until 2×15 extra time rounds were completed.
