Volvo 66 (1979) – Into the Wild

Today we serve you a piece of Dutch pride. Well, Dutch, except for the brand! The Volvo 66 naturally started its life as a Daf 66. This is the first time we have the Volvo version in ‘In the Wild’.

The Daf 66 has already appeared a few times in this section and also in different guises. For example, there was once the 66 Coupé, the YA-66 from the army and a regular two-door. Thanks to AutoWeek reader Koen Smit, we now also have his ‘successor’ for us, the Volvo 66. Just like the latter Daf, this concerns the two-door sedan, we still have the three-door station wagon of both the Daf and Volvo 66 on our wish list. …
