vivo. A brand that mixes the smartphone market

A statistical Pole may not have heard about vivo yet, but fans of mobile technologies should perfectly associate this brand. It shone in 2014 with the launch of the vivo X5 Max – the thinnest smartphone at that time (4.75 mm thick!). Just four years later, vivo showed the X20 Plus UD – the first smartphone with a fingerprint reader built into the screen, a solution that many flagship devices use today. The portfolio also includes a model with a double screen, retractable camera or a truly frameless design.

Asian giant

Success doesn’t come from nothing. The company from China, and in fact a global company, started operating in 1995, while the vivo smartphone brand was established in 2011 based on the experience gained. From the very beginning, vivo was characterized by a pragmatic approach to innovation – the technologies being developed were not only meant to delight and raise the bar of competition. Above all, they were supposed to be practical and make life easier for their users.

Hence, today 80% percent. people employed by vivo work in the area known as “research and development”.

At the same time, vivo is guided by the Benfen philosophy of doing things the right way, being honest with ourselves and our customers, and respecting our business partners. The brand strongly emphasizes that it always focuses on the person, not the product, and listens strongly to the voices of its customers.

Perhaps it is these two values - innovation and a trustworthy message – that have made vivo the second largest smartphone manufacturer in China and India, as well as a leader in the Indonesian market.

Annual sales of vivo smartphones in the regions of Asia, the Pacific, Russia and the Middle East are as high as 110 million units. Last year, the company boasted that their devices found 370 million buyers in over 30 countries. It is currently the third largest manufacturer of 5G smartphones in the world. No wonder that vivo decided to expand on the European market to expand the group of satisfied customers with new users.

vivo is already in Poland

vivo officially expanded its activities to Poland, which is one of the company’s key markets, and five other European countries (France, Germany, Italy, Spain and Great Britain). The brand has been preparing for this step for a long time. The premiere was preceded by thorough market research and the creation of a diverse team of the European headquarters in Dusseldorf, which has been operating since November last year.

The Polish vivo team consists of about 25 people. The company has also established a partnership with the largest networks such as Media Expert, Media Markt, RTV EURO AGD or x-kom and the Play operator. As a result, the brand’s smartphones will be available in online and offline stores and from operators.

Poles definitely have reasons to be happy, because vivo devices are characterized not only by interesting functionality and modern design, but also by a price that will not hit the wallet. The following devices will debut in Poland first.

vivo X51 5G – smartphone with a built-in gimbal for image stabilization

X51 5G is a smartphone designed for amateurs of mobile photography. Its most intriguing feature is the built-in gimbal that moves the entire camera module in the opposite direction to vibration, thus increasing its stability. According to the manufacturer, the mechanical movement of the camera allows to compensate for vibrations in the range of 300%. greater than traditional optical image stabilization techniques. Thanks to this, photos or videos recorded during a longer exposure time (i.e. mainly at night) will be exceptionally clear. The camera even has a special mode for astrophotography.

There are also solutions that are not inferior to modern flagships: tracking an object in motion, a telephoto lens for portraits or a periscope telephoto lens generating 5x optical zoom and 60x digital. It is worth noting that the vivo X51 5G, despite a capacious 4315 mAh battery, measures only 8.04 mm thick, which makes it one of the thinnest 5G smartphones in the world.

The powerful Snapdragon 765 G processor in combination with 8 GB of RAM, 256 GB of internal memory and the Funtouch OS 10 Global system based on Android 10 will ensure smooth and comfortable work.

The smartphone will go on sale in Poland on November 3 for PLN 2,999.
