Villages, assigned 30 million euros to 37 villages in the South

23/11/2021 – The redevelopment of historic centers and tourism-cultural enhancement presented by small municipalities in the regions of Basilicata, Calabria, Campania, Puglia and Sicily will be financed with 30 million euros.

The Ministers of Culture, Dario Franceschini and of Tourism, Massimo Garavaglia, which last Friday signed the decree that disburses the resources.

This is a loan from the resources of Axis 1b of the Complementary Action and Cohesion Program of the PON Culture and Development (ERDF) 2014-2020, disbursed at the end of the call published in February 2020 with the aim of strengthening the attractiveness of small and medium-sized villages and historic centers, through the restoration and recovery of urban spaces, historical or cultural buildings, as well as distinctive elements of the identity character.

The resources are divided as follows: 20 million euros per 23 villages under 5,000 inhabitants e 10 million euros per 14 villages with up to 10,000 inhabitants.
