Several people were killed and injured in the Ukrainian port city of Odesa following a Russian drone attack that took place during the night, the Ukrainian army announced on Saturday morning, DPA informs.
Debris from a Russian attack drone shot down by air defenses hit a multi-story residential building and started a fire, the operational command of the Ukrainian army wrote on Facebook.
Three civilians died in the fire and another 26 people were injured.
In a separate statement, the Ukrainian forces announced that Russia launched 35 drones and eight missiles at Ukraine during the night. Twenty Iranian Shahed drones and two ballistic missiles were shot down, the statement states.
Apart from Odesa, Russian attacks took place against targets in the Poltava region and in Kharkiv.
