Video: 30-100 € processor testers with Core i9-12900K in the test

Three CPU processors costing 30-100 euros with Intel’s 16-core Core i9-12900K processor.

Currently, the most power-hungry consumer processors on the market are Intel’s Core i9-12900K and 12900KS, whose power consumption can reach a maximum of 241 watts as standard. We will see in the video how the SilentiumPC’s Fera 5, which did well in the previous cooler test with the Ryzen 5 5600X, survives with the Core i9-12900K, and the tests also include the DeepCool AK620 for about 60 euros and the NH-D15 for about 100 euros. The video shows whether the Noctua NH-D15 at a price of around € 50 offers significantly better cooling performance or a significantly quieter noise level than DeepCool.

The tests were run practically by installing a cooler on the processor and connecting a fan to the fan connector on the Asus ROG Maximus Z690 Hero motherboard. All processor cores were loaded with a 10-minute Cinebench R23 test and the game strain was handled by the Cyberpunk 2077. The tests have been run on a Core i9-12900K standard and overclocked and a noise level of 40 decibels.

Under Cinebench R23 stress on all cores, SilentiumPC’s Fera 5 ran out of cooling power and with the Core i9-12900K the temperature rose to 100 degrees as standard. DeepCool and Noctua performed virtually identically in all cores under the same stress. In the game test, Deepcool had a maximum of 3 degrees cooler, which may be due to the larger size of the Noctua and that it was completely attached to the RTX 3080 Ti graphics card.

Tell us in the comments what you liked about the slightly different tests on the processor scooters.
