Viana do Castelo. Man stole more than 20 kilos of copper while on the job
A 47-year-old man was accused this Monday of theft of non-precious metals in the municipality of Valença, in Viana do Castelo.
According to a statement from the GNR released today, the military had been investigating “a complaint for theft of non-precious metals in a company” for about a month, which resulted in the identification of the accused, after it was found that he “stole copper during the exercise of its functions”.
The security force carried out two searches – one at home and the other in a vehicle – which resulted in the seizure of: 21 kilos of copper; cutting pliers; a pair of gloves; a screwdriver; a knife and a razor.
The facts were referred to the Judicial Court of Valença.
