Veloretti unveils new e-bikes: this has been improved

Veloretti’s sleekly designed e-bikes were already convincing two years ago. The Dutch brand has now unveiled the new versions of its electric bicycles, with mostly minor improvements and refinements.

Our e-bike tester David tested in 2021 Veloretti’s first e-bikes, the Ace and Ivy. He was immediately charmed by the beautiful appearance, especially of the Ivy: one of the few beautiful e-bikes with a step-through frame. However, he also had complaints, such as about the finish of the bicycle. Those points now appear to have been addressed, with the unveiling van de Ace Two en Ivy Two.

According to Veloretti, cables and parts are better and more beautifully integrated into the frame of the bicycle. Also new is a built-in screen, in the middle of the steering wheel. The screen shows the speed and buttons for lighting, but also the weather and GPS navigation can be viewed on the screen. In addition to the headlight in the frame, there is now also a headlight on the handlebars, so that users illuminate their direction of travel while steering.

More features, higher price

There are buttons in the steering wheel for operation and there is also a built-in alarm system with sound.

The core of the e-bike remains the same: the new models are also powered by the Bafang 250W mid-engine with rotation and pedaling sensor. The Gates timing belt and Enviolo automatic gear hub complete the drivetrain. The 540Wh battery is still removable and offers up to 120 kilometers of range per charge.

The Veloretti Ace Two and Ivy Two are available in matte black, light gray and the sand color Dune. In addition, the Ace Two is available in black with beige tires, and the Ivy Two in gray with beige tires. Both models have a delivery time of 4 to 6 weeks.

With a price of 3299 euros, the new Veloretti bicycles are more expensive than their predecessors, which were sold for 2799 euros. In comparison, competitor VanMoof sells his S5 en A5 for 3498 euros and the new one VanMoof S4 and X4 for 2198 euros.
