Valeriy Kaplunat: We remain stable and look for new sales markets

There is a reason for this. 2022 turned out to be very difficult, it required additional efforts, reshuffle of plans, search for new opportunities and solutions, but ended with stable indicators.

– A tough economic blockade has been declared on Russia. There is a struggle for the redistribution of the market. The confrontation is on all fronts, from industrial supplies to finance and logistics. Our main consumers – European companies, contrary to common sense, have limited the supply of products within the framework of sanctions. The United States imposed protective tariffs. However, we remain resilient. We are looking for new sales markets and fill the gap, – said Valery Kaplunat, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Omsktehuglerod LLC. We have entered China. At the same time, they gained an advantage: the Chinese market is many times larger than the European one. Completely different scale.

According to experts, today the importance of carbon black as a product is increasing. Therefore, the enterprise not only meets the needs of the Russian market, but also continues to occupy a strong position in the world. And it is already building new bridges with Asia, Latin America and other friendly regions.

Omsk Carbon Group produces the widest range of brands in Russia – more than 30 items. The holding unites three factories in Omsk, Volgograd and Mogilev. The implementation of the investment program continues.

The personnel policy of the enterprise remains unchanged, which does not save on creating attractive conditions for creative work, providing the team with a decent salary and social programs. And people value that attitude. It is not for nothing that the number of those awarded in connection with their professional holiday includes workers whose experience at Omsktehuglerod includes ten, fifteen, and more than 25 years. And the veterans of the enterprise, created in the military year of 1944, are always on a special note. Good traditions, formed and maintained for decades, are worth a lot.

– We created a model that allowed us to survive the difficult 90s. Now it is clear that the free market with fair competition is a thing of the past, but we will continue to develop. Now we are rebuilding the logistics and sales system. And we see no obstacles to increasing supplies. Many thanks to all our services, to the whole team, – says Valery Kaplunat.

Omsk Carbon Group managed to completely redistribute sales of products to new Asian markets. Distribution centers of the company are actively working.

Resident of the free economic zone of the Republic of Belarus “Omsk Carbon Mogilev” – also does not stand still.

– The Mogilev project is completely ours. We created it from scratch. At the same time, they used their own scientific solutions, – explains Valery Kaplunat.

“Omsk Carbon Mogilev” is more than 550 jobs. Today, the site of the plant resembles a spaceport. The most breakthrough innovative technologies are concentrated here. The company’s products help to rid neighboring Belarus of import dependence. The volume of deliveries of products to large local consumers is increasing.

In the congratulations that sounded in the Concert Hall, the guests of honor – representatives of authorities and scientific partners – spoke about the company’s activities, about the prestige of the industry as a whole and the value of the profession of a chemist, about the place the Omsk production site of the Omsk Carbon Group holding occupies in the region and the country .

– More than 13,000 restrictions have been received by the country over the past year. However, the economy survived, thanks in part to the chemical industry. It’s impressive. Many thanks to the employees of Omsktehuglerod for their contribution to the development of the industry, for hard, but very valuable and important work. There are colossal opportunities for the further development of chemistry in Russia, – said Oleg Smolin, First Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Education and Science of the State Duma, in his congratulatory speech.

Carbon black is used in the tire industry, auto, aircraft and rocket manufacturing, agriculture, and mining. It is used in the production of polymer pipes, cables, radio devices, dishes, paints, toners and children’s toys. It is also capable of suppressing electromagnetic fields and is used in electrical engineering. The areas of application of the product can be expanded: for example, on its basis, scientists create new brands of oil sorbents and biosorption preparations necessary for land clearing.
