Valentino expressed love in his haute couture collection

Each model embodied a work of art with perfect details that formed the overall effect of the show’s presentation. The creative director of the brand, Pierpaolo Piccioli, invited a group of painters to the studio, who collaborated on the collection and created an experimental project called Valentino Des Ateliers.

“Pierpaolo Piccioli relied on the alchemical process of working in the studio, and therefore on the hands of other creators,” features the brand’s official press release. This created a slow process of creation, color layering, various characters and backgrounds, all full of artistic gestures, which are reflected on the dress itself. Although Piccioli does not believe that fashion can be defined as art, he has taken to heart the idea that couture collections should be the ultimate expression of imagination and creativity. It was also the impetus for choosing the place of the whole show, ie Venice, which is the heart of art, theater, music, architecture and everything related to creativity.

The Venice Biennale in Gaggiandre v Arsenale provided a beautiful and unbeatable backdrop for a fashion show. Due to technical reasons, the premiere of the show missed the official date of the couture calendar, but the Valentino brand also used the time wisely. This collection just needed its time.

What caught the eye of the first good was the colors with which Piccioli really won this time. The combinations of shades and textures were perfectly thought out down to the last detail. The show not only met the requirements of haute couture, but actually provided many more.
