Vaccination in the great confusion – editorial by Cornel Nistorescu

Thank God! Raed Arafat has been vaccinated! Cîțu Vasile is also announced and President Iohannis also mustaches. He didn’t seem to be afraid and he seemed to be stung! No one cracked, the satellite connections did not fall, the Carpathian Mountains did not shake! In our country, the leaders sat in line. In money, they are first, at work, in line, and in the power of example, nowhere. In the case of vaccination, the “commander” Raed Arafat finally broke the ice. President Klaus Iohannis scratched until he had nowhere to go, and Vasilică Florin Cîțu stammered. Instead, cases of disorganization are seriously increasing and the number of those who hesitate or even refuse is increasing. Disorganization belongs to the state institutions headed by the president, like a popandău. He positioned himself as the first commander in the fight against the pandemic. From his “simple flu” debut to the health war and the preparation of the vaccination campaign, he has been at the forefront, losing credibility more than ever. By the power of example, I saw the same Iohannis as in the houses and in the taxes the money collected from the meditations given to the students.

-I order, I’m wrong, you get vaccinated, I don’t answer!

Normally, the vaccination campaign should have started with the example of the president and the prime minister. That’s if they hadn’t shunned like shit! The consequences are even more unfortunate. The number of undecided people and those who refuse is increasing. Discussions are degenerating on Facebook, on television and in local pubs. The nation’s television news and analysts’ opinions are flourishing spectacularly. If the fine were introduced for the stupidity said on account of vaccination and coronavirus, surely the budget would rebalance rapidly.

The pandemic highlighted (that is, swollen!) Our characteristic of the people of “Gica contra”, of murmurers and of “it doesn’t work, sir”. All the great thinkers who are confused about the origin and role of aspirin already have theories about coronavirus, about the origin and about the scenarios that manipulate it. With such a Strategic Communication Group, or with such an explanatory campaign and with so much stupid fuss on television, which has nothing to fill the grid, I do not see how we could reach 60-65% of the vaccinated population.

I am horrified that on this background, instead of approaching the situation with understanding and calm, there are journalists who exaggerate the (real) ignorance of many compatriots. To put it bluntly, they are trying to prove that the people of the country, especially the elderly, are fools.

For years and years, in our country, there has been a kind of stupid humor, born from the preoccupation of proving that the interlocutor is an uneducated and a fool. It started with the forced (mocking) humor launched by Viorel Gaiță and continues with the examples repeated by Dorel, Dorel being, always, the man of the people, not the fool at the head of the institution or society. A few days ago, on a news television station with American fans, I saw a young deontologist struggling to explain to a Romanian in Washington, a supporter of Donald Trump and a demonstrator in front of the Capitol, that he did not understand what was happening there, as for which she explains to him from the news subway of Antena 3.

So with the pandemic and vaccination. All sorts of imaginaries who can’t even give an e-mail have their own theory about the vaccine and about Covid 19 and a precious butterfly of academics and rescuers of Romania. They are philosophers of pandemic and contamination and have their scenarios about the phenomenon reaching planetary proportions, although, they are convinced that Bulgaria has borders with Norway and France.

How will we cope in this thriving climate of gossip and stupid fantasies and how will we reach a high percentage of vaccination of the population? I’m afraid we’re in a situation of laughing at the world !?
