Up to 400 gas stations may be affected

The current restriction makes it almost impossible for the wells that signed the contract with Moll this year, said the ATV-I Eszter Bujdos, managing director of Holtankoljak.hu.

Although Mol talks about 200 affected wells, which actually affects 200 companies, this could mean up to 400 gas stations, which is 2.5 percent of the Hungarian network. According to him, the question arises as to whether this will save the supply problems. He added: it can already be seen that the extent of the restriction is also different, which is not considered fair. He called it a big problem that only Mol sells fuel in Hungary, and until the importers come or can’t come back to the market due to the official price, the oil company could have very serious problems with the supply.

And Ferenc Lajkó, the managing director of DigiLog Consulting, spoke about the fact that the refueling limit at the fast-filling stations at the Mol wells was limited to 100 liters per transaction. He gave as an example that an international truck has a 1,000-liter tank, in which 100 liters is a small amount, which is enough for a distance of 300 km. Half, two-thirds of domestic trucks cover 300 kilometers per day. Ferenc Lajkó believes that there may be technical reasons behind the restrictions. He also added that the restriction means loss for both Mol and the government, since, for example, the trucks will refuel abroad. The expert also said: this daily limit of 100 liters can cause supply problems.
