Universities will be set up in every district of the country: Education Minister

The government has sanctioned public-private universities in different parts of the country. Universities will be set up in all districts in future. The initiative was taken to establish a private university in Bangladesh with many doubts and suspicions. But they have already proved themselves wrong. In the future, they will also get a place in the world rankings – we have that belief.

Speaking at the 4th Convocation of Green University of Bangladesh held online on Saturday (June 19), the Minister of Education Dr. Dipumani said these things.

A total of 1,464 people were conferred degrees at the convocation. Of these, 6 were awarded Chancellor’s Gold Medal and 13 were awarded Vice-Chancellor’s Gold Medal.

“Students are our future,” he said. They will take Bangladesh on the path of progressive prosperity in the days to come. Our students have already demonstrated success at home and abroad by applying technical skills; Which has always inspired us.

Addressing the graduates, he said, “Just thinking about the job is not enough. You also have to think about establishing yourself as an entrepreneur. Dipu Moni said, the path of acquiring knowledge never ends. The way to know yourself must be kept open at all times. Whether the consequences are good or bad, the door to one’s own education must always be kept open. Because, the lion’s share of human education is acquired from outside the organization.

Speaking as the special guest, Deputy Minister of Education Mahibul Hasan Chowdhury said, “This convocation is one of the most memorable days in the life of a student.” “Graduating students are the key to our future,” he said. But every graduate should keep in mind that even after the completion of formal education, the school of life will always teach you. It is your new thinking that will move the society and the country forward.

University Grants Commission member Prof. Muhammad Alamgir expressed the positive thoughts of the government on education and research of public universities as well as private universities.

Concurrent speaker Prof. Mesbahuddin Ahmed said that the convocation is not only the end of the graduation phase, but also the beginning of another phase of life from today. And that is the practical life, the life of taking on new challenges and creating your own position. Every graduate of Green University has to come forward to face that challenge.

Mohammad Abdullah Al Mamun, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the University, outlined the recent progress of the construction of the University Laboratory, Library, Permanent Campus and other facilities. He also expressed his determination to take Green University forward in the future by maintaining this continuity.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Md. Golam Samdani Fakir said that it is through convocation that a student enters a larger career. Responsibility towards family, society and the state also increases from this convocation. So, every graduate of Green University has to take that responsibility.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Md. Abdur Razzak said, “Green University is organizing the convocation and awarding degrees to the students at a time when we as a Bengali nation have entered the golden jubilee of independence.” Not only that, in the same year we are celebrating the centenary of the birth of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

Treasurer Professor Dr. thanked on the occasion. Md. Faizur Rahman. The convocation was attended by Vice Chancellors of different universities, members of the Board of Trustees, members of the Academic Council and Syndicate, teachers, students, invited guests, parents and ambassadors of different countries.
