Fifteen unemployed people have participated this week in a new edition of the course ‘Operator of forklifts’ at the Center for Economic Promotion of Martorell. The aim has been to train for the improvement of their conditions of access to the workplace and to obtain the accreditation card.
The Center of Economic Promotion of Martorell continues with the transversal formative actions to improve the employability of people in situation of unemployment ‘Adapt’, with the realization of the course of ‘Operator of forklifts’, one of the courses with more demand among service users. These trainings, free and promoted by the Department of Economic Promotion of the City Council, are intended to facilitate the learning of people enrolled in the Local Employment Service of Martorell.
Students learn to carry out the tasks of a forklift operator safely, know the legislation on the prevention of occupational hazards, the obligations and rights of driving forklifts and lifting platform, as well as the modalities, conditions and risks associated with the different operations of the equipment and environments.
This training lasted eight hours structured in two sessions: a four-hour session of theoretical content, which took place on Monday at the Molí Fariner Economic Promotion Center, and a four-hour internship session at the Brigade. Municipal, which took place on 6, 7 and 8 July in groups of five people.
At the end of the course, the students have obtained the card of operators of trucks and lifting platform, and the official diploma of assistance of the course by the company Linx Consulting Training and HR, in charge of imparting the training.
