Police arrested two drug dealers with one kg of ganja in Bogra’s Adamdighi. They were sent to court on Tuesday afternoon in a case under the Narcotics Act.

The arrested are Bayjid Pramanik (28) son of Mojibar Pramanik and Abdul Barik (35) son of Afzal Pramanik of Motpukuria village of Kundagram union of the upazila.

Adamdighi police station sub-inspector Pradeep Kumar Barman said that two drug dealers were selling ganja on the paved road in the area adjacent to Israfil’s house in Motpukuria village of Kundagram union of the upazila on Monday night.

On the basis of secret information, raids were conducted there and they were arrested. After the operation, they were searched and one kg of intoxicating drug ganja was recovered.

Officer-in-charge of Adamdighi police station, Rezaul Karim Reza, confirmed the truth of the incident and said that they have been sent to the court after filing a case under the Narcotics Act against the arrested.
