Pilsen – Two people were seriously injured this morning during an explosion of apparently pyrotechnics in Brdy on the border of the Pilsen and Central Bohemian regions. According to rescuers, one man loses a limb, the other is burned on the upper body. They were taken by helicopter and ambulance to the Pilsen University Hospital, police spokeswoman Ivana Jelínková and rescue service spokeswoman Mária Svobodová told ČTK.
Rescuers initially received reports of an explosion and seven affected people, but treated only two injured men. Firefighters were also on site, but they had already left because there was no need for fire intervention, said firefighter spokesman Petr Poncar. Rokycany police officers came to the case.
