Turismo do Algarve considers lead from the airlift to the United Kingdom “unfair” (and says that Britons with homes in the region should be heard)

Turismo do Algarve considers that the decision of the United Kingdom, which this Friday excluded the region from the list of ‘air corridors’ to which British tourists can travel without being subject to quarantine on return to the country, is “unfair and penalizing” . However, other Portuguese destinations are included: Madeira and Azores.

Boris Johnson’s decision leaves the region in shock. “We have until the last minute the hope that it will not come true, and in the next review of the British Government, on July 30, we will do everything to reverse this situation”, assured the Expresso João Fernandes, president of Turismo do Algarve, even before the confirmation official.
