The event called Isle of Man Tourist Trophy, or Isle of Man TT for short, is brutal. At speeds of up to 200 miles per hour, competitors drive through 37 miles of narrow country roads and picturesque villages. Needless to say, just one mistake can lead to an accident, and it happens often. As a sport, it is one of the most dangerous. Thanks to TT Isle of Man – Ride on the Edge 3, however, you can experience all the dynamics of the event and the rush of adrenaline without any danger.

This is the third title in the TT Isle of Man series coming from Raceward Studios, who previously made the game RiMS Racing. Maybe that’s why the game formula has changed a bit. Now on PS5 and Xbox Series consoles, TT Isle of Man – Ride on the Edge 3 gives players an open world to explore. And while it’s nowhere near as fun to drive compared to the vast environments of other open-world racing games like Forza Horizon 5 or Need for Speed ​​Unbound, there are events and other interesting details for players to discover.

What’s interesting here is that you can have two simultaneous careers – one for the Supersport class and one for the Superbike class. If you are new to the series, it is best to start with the slower Supersport class, as this will allow you to get to know the mechanics and features of the game better. However, you will quickly discover that TT Isle of Man – Ride of the Edge 3 is not forgiving. Even with all the help you can get, like the physics set to entry-level and the competitive AI set to the lowest level, you’re going to find yourself in a challenging situation.

There is no “rewinding” here, so if you make a mistake, it will be your cost. With the initial physics settings, things aren’t too bad, as long as you’re careful – but not too careful, or you won’t be able to make it to the podium. If you turn up the physics, you’ll really need to up your game; even if you just touch the brake while driving in a corner or put just one wheel off the track, it’s very likely that you’ll go airborne. Needless to say, TT Isle of Man – Ride on the Edge 3 is not a game for those without the patience or desire to get better.

For those with the will to succeed, this hardcore racing game offers a lot to like. As always, it has a phenomenal sense of speed. Whether you’re using a motorcycle-tracking camera or a helmet-mounted camera that puts you right in the action, the world flies past you at a speed that’s hard not to notice. The new career system makes the game much more varied and interesting. On your way to the main event of the TT, you’ll compete in practice sessions, races and maybe even time trials, duels and more if you take the time to research.

The points you earn by competing in events can be used to develop your bike, upgrading key components over multiple levels to better compete. And when you want to take a break from your career, there are other options to play. You can create custom online races to play with others or compete in a series of seasonal events. It’s not the biggest game in the world, but there’s definitely a decent amount of content here.

For review purposes, the game TT Isle of Man – Ride on the Edge 3 we played on PlayStation 5 console, and it looked amazing at times. However, the key word here is “occasionally”, as it was often unimpressive. Some of the scenery can be uninteresting, and occasionally spotting objects in the distance doesn’t help. Fortunately, performance is less choppy, but still not perfect. They are mostly solid and allow you to race without any problems, but there are certain areas where things are not so smooth. We hope that this can be corrected with a patch in the coming period.

This is another solid title in the TT Isle of Man series, which thankfully brings a lot of new things. It’s still not beginner-friendly, and there are some minor issues that could occasionally annoy players. Overall, though, fans of the sport will likely be satisfied with this title. Fast, relentless and at times extremely beautiful, TT Isle of Man – Ride on the Edge 3 will reward you if you put in the time and effort to master it. But if you approach it without caution, you can burn yourself.
