Třinec will fight for the first points in Hradec after four matches

Hradec Králové – The hockey players of Třinec will strive to end a series of four matches without points in Thursday’s overture to the 35th extra-league round. The still reigning champions have been waiting for almost a month to win in the basic playing time and after an unsuccessful period they dropped from first place to third. Sixth Mountfield loses only five points to Steelmakers.

The East Bohemians won four of the last six duels, and both failures were recorded on the ice by the Sparta leader. The team of coach Vladimír Růžička Sr. is not lulled by the current position of Thursday’s opponent.

“Třinec has a very good team and great players, so if they are not doing well now, it does not mean that it will be an easier match than if they were on a winning streak,” said defender Michael Gaspar.

Important from his point of view will be the entry into the match. “We will want to fly at them, and even if we don’t score a goal, we will prepare them for the next thirds. We won’t want to let them into the game at all, we want to bring the match to a successful end,” added Gaspar.

Třinec has only won twice in the last ten matches. Subsequently, however, he came out four times empty with a total score of 3:14. The last in line was a close defeat in Mladá Boleslav 2: 3.

“We have to improve in the power games that decide the matches. The positives are two goals scored, I think we are on the right track to break it. It will definitely turn to our side again,” said assistant coach Marek Zadina.

A strong team believes that it will soon be on the winning wave again. In addition, the Steelmakers have not lost a point in the previous two matches with the East Bohemians this season. “We didn’t play badly (in Mladá Boleslav), unfortunately we don’t have a point again. It’s hard to bite. We have to raise our heads and move on, there is no other way,” the forward Martin Růžička urged resolutely.
