Traffic reopened next to the Ukrainian embassy in Lisbon -Última Hora

Traffic on Avenida das Descobertas next to the Embassy of Ukraine in Lisbon was reopened at around 8 pm, after being cut off by a police perimeter motivated by the receipt of two suspicious letters, said a PSP source.

The Ukrainian embassy in Lisbon received this Monday at 3 pm two envelopes suspected of being trapped, having called the PSP, which sent means of the Special Police Unit to the location, which ended up creating a perimeter and closing that main artery to the transit while carrying out investigations, having later reported that he did not find any explosive device in the two envelopes. A source from the Lisbon Metropolitan Command of the PSP told Lusa that traffic was reopened at around 8 pm, with “normal policing” being in place.

On November 30, a man was seriously injured at the Ukrainian embassy in Madrid due to the explosion of an artifact that was inside an envelope. Since then, the existence of five more letters with explosives has been revealed by the Spanish authorities, the last of which is in the US embassy on Spanish soil.
