The mishap of a light vehicle on the A24, in Lamego, which resulted in one dead and one seriously injured, forced the road to be cut in both directions, a source from the Viseu District Relief Operations Command told Lusa.
The accident occurred in the direction of Lamego/Vila Real, at 17:09, and the vehicle left the road and fell from a height of about 100 meters, according to the same source.
One of the occupants died at the scene and the seriously injured person was heliported to Vila Real Hospital.
