
A traffic accident with two deaths, aged 37 and 19 years old, occurred in the early hours of Monday on Athens Avenue.
According to ERT, the traffic accident occurred shortly after 2 am at the junction of Athens Avenue and Antigonis Street, near the Stock Exchange building.
According to information, the accident occurred when a car in which a couple was riding veered off to the right while in the middle lane.
Next to the car at that moment was a motorcycle with riders of the 37-year-old and the 19-year-old, which he hit, causing the motorcycle to fall into two parked vehicles.
The severity of the impact was such that the intervention of the fire department was necessary to extricate the motorcycle riders, who were taken to the “G. Birthplaces” where they ended up.
The driver of the car has been arrested while the exact circumstances of the accident are being investigated by the Athens Traffic Police.
