Toyota Targets Vaccination of Employees and Families by End of July

DAPURPACU – Toyota has registered to participate in the Mutual Cooperation Vaccination Program held by the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN) for 16,000 employees and their families.

Vaccination is being administered in stages starting on May 18, and it is planned that all employees and their family members will receive two doses of the vaccine by the end of July.

Last Saturday (10/7), PT Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indonesia (TMMIN) received a visit from the Minister of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia, Ida Fauziyah at the Karawang 3 Factory located in the KJIE Industrial area – Karawang, West Java.

During the visit, Minister Ida directly reviewed the Covid-19 vaccination activities to more than 1,200 TMMIN employees and their families, accompanied by the Chairperson of KADIN, Arsjad Rasjid, Deputy Chairperson of KADIN, Shinta Kamdani, and the Regent of Karawang Cellica Nurrachadiana.

“We are very enthusiastic about vaccinating the company in order to support the Government’s efforts to stop the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic,” said Bob Azam, Director of Corporate Affairs at TMMIN.

“Of course we also continue to improve the knowledge and understanding of our employees about Covid-19 and its preventive measures, as well as the importance of maintaining health protocols even after receiving the vaccine,” he added.

In addition, Toyota continues to increase understanding and awareness as well as preventive actions to the environment through the Covid-19 Alert Village (KSC) program.

The program, which started in September 2020, facilitates TMMIN employees to become agents of change who encourage community development and independence in organizing all resources against Covid-19.

To date, 100 KSCs have been established in the areas of Karawang, Jakarta, Bekasi, Bogor and Depok. [dp/MTH]
