Two new presenters will start this Monday (October 11th) for the successful WDR regional TV magazines, “Local Time from Duisburg” and “Local Time Ruhr”.

Starting this week, Anika Keil will present the topics and stories from the region to the audience for the first time in Duisburg. She comes from the Ruhr area and studied media studies in Duisburg and Bochum. After graduating, she completed a journalistic traineeship at Südwestrundfunk. Most recently she was in front of the camera for the SWR news program “SWR Aktuell”.

Anika Keil met the WDR Studio Duisburg in 2008. There she started as a student assistant in the television editorial office. Later she also worked as an author for “Lokalzeit aus Duisburg”, KiRaKa and WDR 5, among others.

Anika Keil will host the WDR regional magazine “Lokalzeit aus Duisburg”, alternating with Ines Rothmeier and Marc Schulte.

WDR regional magazine with Maren Bednarczyk

Maren Bednarczyk, who last presented Duisburg’s “Lokalzeit”, is moving to her hometown of Essen, to “Lokalzeit Ruhr”. Here she supported the team around Désirée Rösch and Lars Tottmann several times this year. Starting this Monday, Maren Bednarczyk is now regularly in front of the camera in the WDR Studio Essen.

The WDR “local times” run on weekdays from 7.30 p.m. Even other formats recently also received support from new colleagues at WDR.
