Prague – Komerční banka will publish its financial results for 2020 today. As with other banks, they will probably be affected by the coronavirus pandemic and measures against its spread. In the three quarters of last year, the bank’s net profit fell by 45 percent year on year to 6.1 billion crowns.
Last year, the net profit of the competing Monety Money Bank fell to 2.6 billion crowns from four billion in 2019. In 2020, Raiffeisenbank’s net profit fell by 49 percent year-on-year to 2.14 billion crowns.
The main owner of Komerční banka, which is one of the largest domestic financial institutions, is the French Société Générale. The bank’s shares are traded on the Prague Stock Exchange.
