He intervened in defense of his niece and, without thinking twice, she grabbed the jack and hit the man who was threatening her on the head. An episode that could have had much more serious consequences, the one that happened in Sant’Antonio Abate, in the province of Naples, and which ended with a 63-year-old in handcuffs for aggravated personal injuries and a man in hospital with a 10-day prognosis. It happened in via Casa Aniello, in the central area of ​​the town, where a girl had stopped her car due to a flat tire and was waiting for her uncle to replace it.

Meanwhile, in a nearby apartment, there were two men arguing heatedly. The screams, louder and louder, could be heard distinctly from the street. Until the girl caught their attention and asked them to stop, saying that otherwise she would call the police. It was precisely this intrusion that precipitated the situation: one of the two litigants left the house and headed towards her young woman, threatening and insulting her.

The girl’s uncle, a 63-year-old local, intervened to defend his niece, stood in front of that man, took up the jack he was using to replace the tire and landed a direct blow to the head. The victim was accompanied to the hospital, where he underwent the necessary diagnostic tests; the doctors ruled out serious consequences and drew up a 10-day prognosis. The story was reconstructed by the carabinieri, who tracked down the 63-year-old and arrested him for aggravated personal injuries.
