TMMIN Inaugurates Electrification Learning Facility at Karawang Factory

DAPURPACU – PT Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indonesia (TMMIN) officially opened and operated the xEV Center at the TMMIN factory Karawang 3, West Java, last Thursday (19/5).

Witnessed directly by the ranks of the Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia, the establishment of this facility is a lesson and development of electrification and green energy capabilities, which the Government continues to echo.

Warih Andang Tjahjono, President Director of TMMIN said, the xEV Center is proof of the collaboration and positive synergy of the triple helix between the Government, academics and the automotive industry.

Therefore the xEV Center was developed as part of the electrification era ecosystem through public advocacy on various electrification options and technologies, as a sustainable effort to achieve the Carbon Neutrality target.

“Toyota believes that to achieve Carbon Neutrality there must be practical and sustainable solutions through various technology options (multi pathways),” said Warih, in an official broadcast.

“Such as vehicles with high fuel efficiency, Flexi Engine (bio-fuel), HEV, PHEV, BEV and FCEV with hydrogen fuel, according to consumer needs and Indonesian conditions,” he added.

The Minister of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia, Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita, advised that in the midst of the Government’s efforts to create environmentally friendly vehicles, the construction of the xEV Center has an important role in educating and inspiring the community.

“Including the next generation, to innovate and develop electrification vehicle technology in the country,” Agus said in his written remarks.

“We hope that the Toyota xEV Center can become a catalyst for technology development and industrialization of electrified vehicles in Indonesia,” he said. [dp/MTH]
