A new information portal called the Tourist Traffic Light informs about the congestion of tourist places. The map shows whether national parks and protected landscape areas are crowded with tourists, and whether it is appropriate to plan an alternative in case of a trip.

If you plan to spend free summer days in the Slovak countryside instead of a holiday by the sea, you can find a new web application called the Tourist Traffic Light when planning your tourism. It was established on the initiative of the Ministry of the Environment in cooperation with the State Nature Protection Agency and the Slovak Environment Agency. The new information portal monitors popular tourist places, especially in areas of protected areas and national parks. It will show on a clear map whether the given locality is crowded with tourists or whether you will be able to enjoy solitude.
