Tihi Talas they do Teodora Tasic i Tijana Bekčić who live and create in Belgrade. They have been interested in music since childhood, so Tijana is currently studying sound design and music production, plays the guitar and piano and composes, while Teodora writes songs, plays the piano and sings. They start their collaboration in the middle of 2021, when they realize that their musical tastes and energies completely match, and that they should make songs together for their debut EP. “Mikrocosmos”.
The EP is soon finished in Tijana’s home studio in the order in which the songs were created. Inspired by the synth, dream and Brit-pop genres, as well as visual references to the film “Melancholia” by Lars von Trier, their desire and vision of the songs were dreamy, cosmic synthesizer sounds that evoke a sweet feeling of melancholy in the listeners. The EP was named “Mikrokosmosi” after Teodora’s first song, composed on a mobile phone, for which the lyrics were written by Miljan Janićijević.
Symbolically, “Mikrokosmosi” represent everything that Teodora and Tijana created together in the comfort of their home, and after finishing it, they also shot a video clip for their debut single. “lead me”, which was released on 14/01/2022. The EP “Mikrokosmosi” was released on 01/02/2022, and Tihi Talas continues to make music. After the release of the EP, they recorded the music video for the song “Opija” in the Zagajik hills.
Album “Room of Dreams” it was released on November 1 last year and has 9 songs. It was preceded by two singles from the album – “Jul” and “Mesec”. The name was inspired by the room (Tijana’s home studio) where all the songs were created and recorded. They play live with a five-piece band that they form alongside Darja Cvetković – guitar, Alex Vujić Ohlsen – bas gitara i Damjan Aleksic – Drums.
Tickets at a pre-sale price of 300 dinars are available in Birtija near Dušan, while they will cost 500 dinars at the entrance.
