Maija Rosenfelde with her colleagues KID Design created the graphic identity of the upcoming holiday, contrasting the riches saturated with 150 years of tradition and the courage to renew or return to pure basics. Touching the starting point and feeling the emotions together, which will shake just like the first Song Festival, allows Maija to also walk in the choir For the sun. She’s only been singing in it for a little over a year, but the experience is powerful and inspiring.

Highlighting projects directly related to music in the context of artists’ work, she also created an identity for the concert dedicated to the memory of the twin brothers, legendary conductors Imanta and Gido Kokaru Brother Brotheras well as the book dedicated to the centenary of Jāzeps Vītolas Latvian Music Academy (JVLMA) and the opening concert of the cycle of anniversary events.

How did your contact with the Song Festival begin?

If it rewinds the film completely, my mother sang in the women’s choir Ausma for more than 30 years, and as a child I danced right there in rehearsals and concerts. She took me with her to choir rehearsals, and probably then I absorbed the choir singing. I remember wandering around there by myself and listening. That is my first memory of choirs and singing.
