Three hundred motorbikes were consecrated in Jánossomorja – Autó-Motor

The rumble of motorbikes was loud on Pentecost Sunday in Jánossomor on the main street. Never before had so many motorcyclists gathered in the small town as now: about three hundred people had arrived and were waiting for the consecration of parish priest László Kótai. This time, the donating community chose two families from Jánossomor and collected more than HUF 1.3 million for them.

– We organized our motorcycle meeting for the seventh time, which also serves a charitable purpose. On the one hand, we collected for the Rigó-Hazonits family, whose 4 and a half-year-old daughter, Hanna, struggles with epilepsy, while our other supporter, Lidi Magdolna, was diagnosed with a malignant tumor. Unfortunately, due to his illness, he is unable to perform his job – Péter Majthényi, the president of the Őrvidék Kapuja Motorcycle Friends Circle, pointed out to our interest. He added: during the tour, they will also visit Dunakiliti to erect a memorial plaque in honor of a dear friend and teammate, Zoltán Molnár, who passed away earlier.

True to tradition, László Kótai consecrated the approximately three hundred motorbikes one by one, and then the participants set off in a huge convoy from Jánossomor to Dunakiliti, from where they motored together to Lébény and Bősárkány.

The Rigó-Haszonits couple were moved by the collection. The mother, Márta Rigó-Haszonits, said that due to a gene defect, they are faced with the fact that their daughter has epileptic seizures every day, and unfortunately, the various medications have not helped so far. The girl needs several improvements, and they also go to Borsó-ház for intensive development, which the family has so far financed on its own. They intend to use the amount they just received for the development of Hanna.
